Meet Ignatius (16th century). He was a soldier first, set on doing great things for Spain, when suddenly life as he knew it was stripped away. It was in the midst of intense pain and loss that he encountered God in a profound way and this changed the course of his life. He has given the Church many gifts, including ways to pray that lead to encountering God ourselves.
